Building Director/Fire Chief
Bill Benoit has been a registered Building Inspector/Plan Reviewer since 1987. He was appointed as Building Director in January of 1993 and Fire Chief in 1995. Bill is the past president of the Oakland County Building Officials Association and currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Code Officials Conference of Michigan. Duties include plan review, budget preparation and is responsible for all personnel in the Building Department.

 

Building Inspector/Fire Fighter
Paul Strelchuk has been serving as a Building Inspector/Fire Fighter since December of 1995. His duties include performing building inspections and also serves as the Assistant Fire Chief.

 

Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer
David Blocki has been with the Township since February 2000. His duties include building inspections and enforcing Township ordinances such as blight, illegal signs, and junk cars.  He is also a member of the Fire Department.

 

Building Department Coordinator
Marlana Venus has been with the Township since August of 1994 first as a permit clerk and was appointed Building Department Coordinator in 1995. Her duties include preparing and submitting all weekly, monthly, and annual reports, preparing payroll for contract employees and directing office staff.

 

Building Department Clerk
Lisa Rosati has been with the Township since October 2005. Her duties include issuing permits over the counter and by mail, miscellaneous filing and answering phone calls.

 

Building Department Clerk
Shirley Sartiano has been with the Township since February 2003. Her duties include issuing permits, scheduling inspections, miscellaneous filing and answering phone calls.

 

Plumbing Inspector
Art Ferguson has been with the township since 1959 as a part time contract employee. His responsibilities include performing all plumbing inspections in the Township for compliance with applicable codes.  He also is a past president of both the Plumbing Inspectors Associations of Michigan and the Tri County Plumbing Inspectors Association.

 

Electrical Inspector
Jim Parrott has been with the Township since 1988 as a part time contract employee. His responsibilities include performing all electrical inspections for compliance with applicable codes.

 

Mechanical Inspector
Jim Smither has been with the Township since 2007 as a part time contract employee. His responsibilities include performing all mechanical inspections in the Township for compliance with applicable codes.
