Donations Still Being Sought for Bear Creek Nature Park Signage
Township residents and businesses are invited to make a difference in our growing park system. Contributions are being sought for signage at Bear Creek Nature Park. Two signs, similar in appearance and durability to national park signs, will interpret different landscapes in the park:
Ø The Bear Creek Marsh at the north end of the park, and
Ø The panoramic view of the rolling fields and woods seen from the ridge in the middle of the park.
Fabrication of the artwork for the two signs is not yet funded. The design and fabrication of the signs are estimated to cost $1000.00 each. Donations in any amount would be welcome and may be tax deductible. Donations above $200 will include a placard to designate your contribution. This would be a wonderful way to commemorate a significant person or event while making a difference in our Township. Please contact the Parks Manager, Mindy Milos-Dale at 248-651-7810 or mmdale@oaklandtownship.org if you would like to make a donation or would need more information.
