Purchased in 2004, 52-acre Lost Lake Nature Park is the third park to be acquired using Land Preservation millage funds. Picnic near the 8-acre lake where shore-fishing is allowed (with a current fishing license) and enjoy the scenery. Wood ducks, herons, turkey and deer are just a small sampling of the wildlife you may see at this park. Trail hiking is limited at this time, but if you’re up for a challenge, walk up the sledding hill to one of Oakland Township’s highest points ~ great dragonfly watching in the warmer months!
This park is located at 846 Lost Lake Trail, south of Predmore Road, between Kline and Rochester Roads. Limited parking is available; please park in the designated areas and do not block the circle driveway. A caretaker resides in the house (to be home to Oakland Township’s future Nature Center) and is not open to the public at this time.
Facilities include:
- Picnic tables
- Portable toilet
- Sled Hill
- Warming Shelter (open for special events only.)
