PLEASE check with the HDC office ahead of time to schedule a photography shoot.  There is no charge for the use of the farm site for taking family, graduation, and wedding pictures, at this time.  When you call or email, that will notify all parties of activities and avoid any conflicts in the schedule with other programs and private rentals.   Thank you for your consideration!

Cranberry Lake Farm (CLF) Historic District is located at 388 West Predmore Road in Oakland Township, Michigan. The sixteen acre historic district is joined to a 213 acre Cranberry Lake Park. CLF is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. The historic district is complete with restored buildings; main house, caretaker house, Flumerfelt Barn, carriage barn, spring house, greenhouse, hen house, hatchling house, reflection pond, and a wild game brooder. The buildings represent local history of agricultural farming with later changes into a country retreat for hunting and recreation, following the Great Depression.

The Historic District Commission maintains all the buildings and grounds within the historic district. They partner with the Oakland Township Historical Society to promote the site as a community historical center.  For more information about tours and events, or to rent the facility, please call Barb Barber 248-608-6807 or email bbarber@oaklandtownship.org.
