NO HAZ September 20, 2014
Several Oakland County communities formed The North Oakland Household Hazardous Waste Consortium (NO HAZ) to provide residents with a safe, reliable and environmentally responsible way to dispose of household hazardous waste.
We have our final NO HAZ collection event of the year this Saturday, 9/20, at Friendship Park in Orion Township from 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. This is a new location and is located at 3380 W. Clarkston Road in Orion Township. The park entrance is east of S. Baldwin Road.
Volunteers should arrive at 7 a.m. and plan on being there until around 2:30 p.m. Coffee, donuts, water, pop and lunch for volunteers will be provided. Please dress for the weather as we will be outside for the entire event. Current forecast is calling for a high of 75, low of 60 with a 50% chance of scattered storms. It is suggested that volunteers bring a rain coat, hat, sunscreen and a lawn chair.
