The purpose of the proposed project is to make improvements to the existing wastewater Sewage disposal system in order to continue to meet the required level of service for the system.  Project construction will involve structural repair, rehabilitation and/or replacement of portions of the Township's existing sanitary sewer lift stations, sanitary sewers and manholes, Impacts of the proposed project are generally limited to short term impacts typically associated with construction projects, such as noise, dust, and temporary roadway lane closures and traffic impacts.  These impacts will be managed by restricting construction work orders to comply with local working hours and noise ordinances, adherence to all local permit requirements and regulations, and project coordination to minimize traffic impacts.

The estimated cost to users for the proposed project will be $2.09/residential user per month.

Copies of the plan detailing the proposed project are available for inspection at the Township Hall Clerk's Office located at 4393 Collins Rd., Rochester, MI 48306. Written comments received before the meeting record is closed on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, will receive responses in the final project planning document.  Written comments should be sent to the Township Clerk's office or emailed to: dmabry@oaklandtownship.org.  Arrangements to reasonably accommodate special needs, including handicap accessibility or interpreter, will be made upon receiving 72-hour notice.
